A mix of blues, funky, soul and rock acoustic music: this is Francesco Piu. Accompaning his voice with varied instruments, such as acoustic guitar, dobro, weissenborn, banjo, lap steel and harmonica, this young bluesman from Sardinia has carved out an important postition in the panorama of italian and international blues. He took part in the most important blues festivals (IBC Memphis, Pistoia Blues, Narcao Blues, just to name a few), and opened concerts for prestigious artists such as John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray; he also played with musicians of the likes of Tommy Emmanuel, Roy Rogers, Guy Davis, Sandra Hall, and many more. After winning a national selection, he played at the INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE in Memphis, Tennessee, in January 2010, as Italian representative.
