Music from Nepal
Sukarma were created in 1997 by three talented musicians: Dhrubesh Chandra Regmi (sitar),
Pramod Upadhyaya (Tabla/Percussion) e Shyam Nepali (Sarangi). The commonality among the instrumentalist of this musical group is that they belong to the illustrations gharana (home) of music who have been playing for generations. Sukarma, as the word refers to as "good deeds" upholds a two-fold philosophy. Firstly, the musicians devote themselves to the music by celebrating it as a symbol of their Sukarma. And secondly, they endaevour to instill the classical music in the young generation.
Sukarma will be playing various musical compositions based on Nepali folk and raga music, focusing and dedicating there music on the theme of music for peace and harmony.
