Rumba de Bodas
Rumba de Bodas are a music band from Bologna, active since 2010.
Their sound is a mix of latin, swing and ska rhythms. The Rumba begin their musical career playing as a supporter band at the concert of Modena City Ramblers, Punkreas, Ministers, Skatalites, Vinicio Capossela and collaborating with Chico, the vocalist of Roy Paci & Aretuska and with Francesco Moneti of Modena City Rambers during the recording of their first tracks in the studio.
After a tour in northern Spain in 2010, the meeting with the sound engineer Mustafa Cengic in 2011 brings to the recording studio of the band's first album, "Just Married".
The album has been exported all over Europe in a series of Rumba de Bodas tours in Romania (summer 2012) and in the UK (from winter 2012 till today), along with a show in one of the main stages at Anttiapas Night in Brussels. "Just Married" has sold 10,000 copies.
During the spring of 2014, Rumba recorded a new album, "Karnaval Fou". The released of the album was followed by a tour of more than 200 dates between Italy, France, England, Scotland.
In 2016 Rumba de Bodas also performed in Germany, Czech Republic, Sweden and Denmark.
During their British tour, Rumba perform at historic venues of the English musical scene and in the major festivals including Hootananny (London), Hare and Hounds (Birmingham), Edinburgh Jazz Festival, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair Festival, Kelburn Garden Party, Wilderness Festival, AudioSoup Festival.
The 2017 will be the year of the recording of Rumba de Bodas third album, scheduled for release in December.
