Masilva
Masilva is an "electrovator" that composes danceable and spatial songs inspired by Latin American folk tradition and global sounds. His third album Juglaría Gallinaza (2016) evokes the sounds of Champeta, Tambora, Guaracha, Afro-beat and Huayno combined with Electro, Funk, Dub and Hip Hop and includes as guest in two songs the "Rey de la Psicodelia Champetúa", Abelardo Carbonó. His first two albums Criollo Businessman and Condor have been distributed in Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Japan. Some producers like Richard Blair (Sidestepper) have mixed their songs and others like the legendary Mad Professor have remixed them. His project, songs and videos have been reviewed by websites and blogs such as BBC (UK), Remezcla (USA), Red Bull Panamerika (Mexico), MTV Iggy (USA), Sounds and Colours (UK), Generation Bass (USA), Nu Cumbia Experience (USA), Groovalizacion (France, Spain, UK), Radio Capsao (France), Bava (Mexico) El Parlante Amarillo (Colombia), Shock Magazine (Colombia) among others. They played in festivals such as Glastonbury (England), Coma (Brazil), Iberoamericano de Teatro (Colombia) and in cities such as London, Bristol, Brasilia, Sao Paulo, Mexico, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Bogotá, Lima, Cali, Cusco, Arequipa and others.
