Balletto Civile - Loose Dogs

Balletto Civile is a nomadic collective of performers, founded in 2003 by Michela Lucenti in collaboration with Emanuele Braga, Maurizio Camilli, Francesco Gabrielli and Emanuela Serra. The team is characterized by the research of a "total" scenic language, privileging the interaction between theater, dance and original live singing.

This year we will see them perform three different performances: Paesaggio d'Interni, Loose Dogs and Hamlet Puppett.

Loose Dogs, the second proposal presented by the collective, is a site-specific performance that represents the second stage of a research that began in 2016 with the show "Just Before the Forest". Cornerstones of this research are an original dramaturgical writing, the creation of a sound design performed live to support the physical and vocal imagery, the body-voice connection and a staging inspired by graphic-novels.
The texts of Loose Dogs deal with the contemporary, reinterpreting it in a ruthless and poetic way. The point of view is that of a bar animal, a "rock" that has begun to crumble.
A narrator's voice acts as a background to an evening tranche de vie in a bar, providing the viewer with few details about the story of the protagonists at the bar. The performance is articulated as a multi-layered stream of consciousness. A hyper-sensory experience, accompanied by a musical selection composed of noises, acoustic sounds, vibrations.
