Born in Offida, a small town in the Marche region, in 1984, ERMELINDA COCCIA has been drawing since she can remember, thanks to her father, a draftsman and blacksmith. Once she finished the O. Licini State Institute of Art in Ascoli Piceno, she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino and later the Free University of Cinema and the Experimental Television Center both in Rome. Her artistic research links pictorial and sculptural techniques with multimedia techniques, so her path starts from drawing but also passes through modeling, video art, film and television and finds a deeper meaning in Sand Art, a technique that magically combines the manipulation of matter with real-time animation.

LIFE is a thin thread that binds us to life, a thread that gently draws our destiny, sometimes leaving us with the ability to move it as we wish.
