Happiness

Rasoterra Circo

The RASOTERRA CIRCO company was founded in Brussels in 2010 out of a desire to shape the intense physical and creative work of Damiano Fumagalli and Alice Roma. In 2012, Panni Sporchi (Dirty Clothes) was Rasoterra's first show, the result of a collaboration with director and performance creator Firenza Guidi. In the spring of 2012, Claire Ruiz, a French acrobat from Companie Tandem, trained at ESAC (Brussels), began collaborating with the two Italian artists. The trio creates a first show: Totem. In March 2014 Rasoterra presents the street show La balena volante, and in July 2019, with the support of Cartons Production presents Virus, also on the street. Also in September 2019, Granelli debuts, the company's first production for children, a project co-produced with Cordata F.O.R. 2020 is the year of Happiness and BOA, two productions that talk about happiness as an engine to face today.

With HAPPINESS, the Rasoterra company gives us a reflection on happiness: how to find the balance between being content with what you have and pursuing your dreams? By staging small, ordinary conflicts, the two protagonists develop possible relationships by taking them to exasperation in a comic-dramatic key, to show the viewer how much "point of view" can affect one's experience.
