Pocket Show Marionette
Catin Nardi is a puppeteer, actor-manipulator and director, with a degree in Performing Arts from the Federal University of Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Self-taught in puppetry, he has devoted himself exclusively to theater since 1981, and has won numerous competitions in Theater and Puppet Theater. Theatre workshop of the National University of the Coast - Santa Fe - Argentina 1984 - 87. Workshop of the Latin American Doll Theatre Institute - Funarte RJ - 1994. Free theater school for professionals - Teatro Galpão - 1998-1999.
He presents his shows, exhibitions and workshops in festivals, theaters and cultural circuits. Worked in several broadcasts for Brazilian television "TV Globo." The introduction of the novella "THE MOTHER'S DAUGHTERS" and the series "TODAY IS MARIA'S DAY 1 and 2" are some of his important television productions for Red Globo TV. He develops research on mechanics, creation and production of puppets and giant marionettes, puppet theater shows, puppet dramaturgy, puppet creation and construction workshops for beginners and specialized courses. He makes custom advertising puppets and television documentaries. Currently in Europe, Catin Nardi has participated since 1994 with his shows in the most important festival circuits in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Italy.
In Pocket Show Marionette, the puppets navigate between the universe of choreography and performance of different cultures of the world. This show has already participated in numerous national and international festivals in America and Europe, delighting audiences with the technical quality of the puppets and sophisticated manipulation.
