The Chalibares company was founded in 2021 from the meeting of Alice Lombardi and Andrès Schlein, both graduates of the Flic Circus School.
In September 2021, they debuted their first production, Chalibares Street Show. In 2022, they created a new circus-theatre performance titled Son tutte palle ("It’s All Nonsense"), co-produced by Laribalta Art Group with support from Mittelfest.
In 2023, driven by the desire to merge performing arts with live music, they brought in Luigi Aquilino (graduate of the Filodrammatici School in Milan) and Italian singer-songwriter Andrea Camatarri, creating the show Per un pelo ("By a Hair"). The production was co-produced by Laribalta, with support from the Emilio Vassalli Prize and Cantiere Risonanze.

The show went on to win the Takimiri Prize, the Open Circus Prize, the Audience Award at the Clown & Clown Festival 2024, and the Perform-It Prize in 2025.
It’s worth noting that all the artists involved share a common background in the Laribalta Theatre School in Novara.

Per un pelo combines juggling and hand-to-hand acrobatics with live music and clowning. The show appeals to audiences of all ages, and its title has become a catchphrase, making the performance both memorable and beloved.

At the heart of the project is the desire to bring together four distinct talents, allowing each to express themselves freely and to find a natural synergy among them. The result is a fluid and poetic performance that, in its apparent absurdity, touches on deep and timely themes: self-acceptance, embracing others, the value of failure, and artistic redemption.

It’s a universal show that speaks to audiences all over the world, offering a simple yet powerful message, expressed with lightness and humor.
