Pau Palaus studied theatre and circus arts at the Rogelio Rivel Circus School (Barcelona), the El Galliner Theatre School (Girona), and through intensive courses with clowns and renowned directors, who passed on to him a deep love for the clown profession.

A self-taught artist, he learned through the “trial and error” method—on the street and with audiences, the best teacher he has ever had. He has performed his shows around the world: Spain, France, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Greece, New Zealand, Thailand, Morocco, Poland, Russia, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mexico, Romania, South Korea, Japan...

He is the founder and president of the Social Circus Association Contaminando Sonrisas, where he actively works as a spokesperson, show producer, and promoter of social work, as well as organizer of tours and missions.
He is also the artistic director of the MIMAA Festival in Arbúcies, which held its first edition in 2022. He co-founded the Dia del Circ de Breda festival and EICA La Vinya, a space for artistic research and creation located in Arbúcies, where he lives with his family.

Embolic
A tangle of ropes that comes from afar. A tangle of thoughts and emotions that lead to laughter and play—two of the purest and most powerful tools for untangling the knots. A show, but above all, a clown, who avoids words and instead relies on gestures and a gaze that convey a sense of peace and a liberating desire to play.
