DogHead
Lrry-1

Right from the start DogHead began processing found and discarded objects, from bicycles, lawnmowers, washing machines, televisions and toasters, everything went under the knife. (Not) fortunately, waste is everywhere and will not disappear; as long as human beings exist, there will be waste. With the philosophy of creating useful objects and sculptures from household and automotive objects discarded by others, he began his creative journey, starting to create small sculptures, creatures of his fantasies, skeletal limbs, hands and skulls, from the metal waste he had found.
His work eventually attracted attention and he was invited to the Hackney Homeless Festival in London where he met several original members of the Mutoid Waste Company and D.N.T.T. and became involved in the underground festival art/music scene, which gave him the inspiration and opportunity to create large-scale sculptures, some mechanical, for such events. After several years in London he moved to Germany where he worked at MSS Stubnitz, an art and cultural space in a salvaged fishing boat in Rostock. After several collaborations in Dresden and Berlin he then moved to Rome and finally to Santarcangelo di Romagna, where Mutoid has established a base in Emilia-Romagna since 1990.
His creations have been exhibited throughout Europe and as far as Japan. He has executed work commissioned by major companies such as Ducati, Artigiano Metropolitano in Turin, and the International Museum of Applied Art. Today, he continues to create sculptures, furniture, and mechanical beasts such as "Lrry-1" a bull/rectile hybrid and "D1zzy" his 1,400-pound rhinoceros.
