A juggler and an acrobat meet at a party in France. Charismatically drawn to one another, they decide to start traveling and working together. That’s how Duopadella was born in the summer of 2016 — partly by chance, partly out of passion. Since then, they have performed over 200 times on the streets and at festivals with their debut show Uno, due, su! across Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, and Poland. Both graduated from the Instituto Nacional de Artes do Circo (INAC) in 2021: Isaac in acrobatic bike and handstands, Giuliano in juggling and object manipulation. The company stands out for its energetic, absurd, and delightfully silly style, always in search of intense emotions.

After their two-year training, they created their second show, About, with which they won the “Vassalli” award for Best Italian Street Circus Production and the “Experimenta” award dedicated to new identities in Bergamo’s theatre scene.

About is a punk circus cuddle-fest inspired by friendship and nonstop play, where body language trumps words and unpredictable rhythm opens the door to improvisation.
Duo Padella — who have been trying to survive the grind of modern life for nearly 10 years — now face a show that breaks all the rules. Fearlessly embracing the ridiculous, the two performers create an anarchic world of play and laughter, where anything can happen for no particular reason, and the audience rediscovers its playful and rebellious side. About is a carefree blend of grit, mockery, passion, and madness.
