Théâtre Circulaire is a professional physical theatre and circus company founded in 2019, born from the shared vision of Luca Lombardi and Jean David L’Hoste-Lehnherr, with the aim of developing long-term projects.
The company’s first production was Roulé-Boulé, a clown show that toured all over Switzerland by bicycle.

In 2022, Porte-à-Faux was created – a show still currently on tour – performed inside a chapiteau. The company’s mission is to create shared experiences around live performance, believing that culture should be accessible to everyone. For this reason, Théâtre Circulaire promotes a form of itinerant theatre that reaches wide audiences, putting the idea of social connection at the core of its mission.

The company is committed to producing high-quality professional projects, involving skilled artists and technicians in every aspect of production – from directing to design, from set construction to sound and lighting. Each skill is valued to create unique and collaborative projects, always remaining faithful to the founding values of the company.

Porte-à-Faux is a show for two clowns, one musician, and quite a few doors.
A wildly unpredictable 65-minute clown performance, suitable for all audiences, blending circus, theatre, and live music inside a small tent.
The performance was inspired by the French term porte-à-faux, meaning off-balance, unstable, awkward.
Playing with these ideas – and with doors in all possible ways – Din Druck and Misette find themselves in an absurd world of doors, where a never-ending series of problems feeds the action through improbable solutions.

Porte-à-Faux creates a genuine and dynamic connection with the audience, offering a unique and unrepeatable experience by constantly playing with viewers’ expectations and perceptions.
Awkward situations and unstable moments are used to confuse and surprise, shifting the tone between comedy and absurdity.
The audience is emotionally involved throughout, drawn into the characters’ challenges and unexpected mishaps. This creates a direct connection with the three performers, where unpredictability becomes a form of co-creation: each show becomes a special moment, shaped by the audience’s spontaneous reactions.
