The Lehmanns Brothers are the funk band of the moment. This summer they will finally perform in Pennabilli, to present their EP Another Place, released on 10th May by Irma Records. They had the opportunity to perform at Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland but also in Austria, Germany, France, Svizzera, Belgium and UK. This year they’ll perform at the Kaliningrad Jazz Festival in Russia, even if their favourite destination is still Italy, where they are at home. They are only 20, but they had the honour to be the open for Fred Wesley, Maceo Parker, and Wu-Tang Clan. They use delicate jazz melodies coming from the ‘70s, adding a touch of hip-hop and neo-soul. Their sound draws inspiration from James Brown, Jamiroquai, The Roots and A Tribe Called Quest, creating a unique festive atmosphere meant to dance.
