Teatro C'art was founded in 2002 and is directed by André Casaca. The company is focused in the research, production, dissemination and pedagogy of clown, physical theater and nonverbal comedy. Its artistic conception is rooted in the deconstruction of ordinary and predictable gestures and the affirmation of a gestural identity away from representation and based on identification.
The company has created 18 shows and its productions have been replicated in festivals and theaters in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Portugal, Palestine, Israel, Turkey, Ethiopia, Cape Verde, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Denmark and Brazil. Having become a reference in comic-non-verbal training in schools and universities, its headquarters in Tuscany receives artists from all over the world who have given rise to numerous collaborations and show directions. Teatro C'art is also a cultural center with a theater hall, thematic library, guest quarters, and will start the Professional School of Contemporary Comedy Theater in the coming year. The company has been recognized and supported by the Tuscany Region and the Ministry of Culture as a contemporary and innovative circus production company since 2021.
Felici per Sempre (Happy forever)
Driving a vintage car, a couple fresh from their wedding ceremony is faced with a breakdown in the middle of the road. Faced with the first setback as newlyweds, they search for a solution that will not come until they regain a sense of having left together.
In Felici per Sempre the actors play between reality and the absurd, maintaining a language in the background between clown, physical theater and acrobatics. Here the car becomes a metaphor for the love relationship, made up of breakdowns, departures and thrusts, often in the wrong direction. A man and a woman, discovering that happiness is not a promise but a conquest. A production that is delineated by its comedy, simplicity, delicacy and absurdity as a visual poem.
Creation, interpretation and direction: André Casaca and Flavia Marco
Production: Teatro C'art (Italy) and Teatro do Sopro (Brazil)
