The Saint Melonians

The Saint Melonians consist of Barry FellaPonty, Count McCash and MC Squared. Formed busking on the streets of Cardiff these three Welsh misfits are looking to get rich quick so they can get to the Bahamas and live a debauched life of leisure. They’ve become a mainstay of the South Wales and West of England music scene combining European-style street performance with the music of the Caribbean. The band blends sharp, precise musical arrangements with a comedic theatrical style. Using portable acoustic instruments like the tea chest base and a kick drum made from a suitcase their sound is rhythmic , melodic and up beat. Their songs are interwoven with audience participation and theatrical set pieces to create a unique and eccentric musical experience.
