THE FESTIVAL
Since 1997, the town of Pennabilli welcomes buskers. The municipality, like other few italian cities, decided to allow street artists performances, even if an old national security law prohibited them.
A whole long weekend, in Pennabilli, is dedicated to buskers.
The XI edition of ARTISTI IN PIAZZA (Artists in the squares)-International buskers festival will take place from May 30th to June 4th, 2007.
During the festival, all the streets of Pennabilli medieval center become stages for italian and international artists.
The atmosphere is magic. 'Till late night sounds, lights, words and colors animate the town and enchant the audience: brilliant performances, concerts, funny entertainment... and more!
On sunday painters and sculptors join the party displaying and creating their works in front of a crowd of onlookers.

THE 1km. PAINTING
In order not to get lost in this amazing labyrinth, we'll provide you with a very special guide: world's longest picture on canvas!
A colorful 'snake' 1km long will wind through the lanes taking you to the shows (it winds through our site too!). You'll be able to paint on it and help to lengthen it.

AND...
But that's not all. There are also the 'market of unusual handicrafts', the exhibition "Carpe Diem", stands where you can taste local dishes, a circus tent where the night have no end and many artistics installation around the town.
