Pigmalião Escultura Que Mexe is a group of artists coming from differtent areas, who has found in the theatre of figure the ideal vehicle to develop shows that cross the borders between the visual and the performing arts. Created in 2007, the group has always focused on the creation of shows with cultural and philosophical depth, using the hypnotic effect caused by the illusion of alive puppets to make audience think. The puppet and its relationship with the actor and the visual theatre are two of this group's principal searching objectives now. In the progressive building of its own identity, the Pigmalião group works for the acknowledgment of puppets' theatre in the contemporary artistic production.

The show was born in 2009 as an itinerant urban intervention. Using the technique of the habitable puppets, the Pigmalião's artists give birth to Bira and Bedé, two old and gigantic twin sisters who wandering for squares and streets, commenting without words the everyday life. The interaction with the audience shows up spontaneous and the show is built thanks to the dialogue with people and the situations that comes, every day a different one. The two main characters are freely inspired to realistic characters who live in the native country of Pigmalião's director Eduardo Felix (Brazil), and easily they bring on stage the reality of Minas Gerais villages.
