The Lorraine-based company La Mue/tte is a collaboration between actress and puppeteer Delphine Bardot and Santiago Moreno. Since 2014, they have created seven shows, inventing a form of visual and musical theatre that allows bodies and objects to speak, questioning the relationships between men and women, power and violence. La Mue/tte is an associate company of Le Mouffetard – National Centre for Puppetry Arts in Paris from 2022 to 2025.

Born in Argentina, musician and puppeteer Santiago Moreno currently lives in France. He is co-founder of the Italo-Argentinian group Aparecidos and the figure theatre company Dromosofista. He has worked with various companies in eastern France.

While Delphine Bardot creates her own puppetry language using the concept of womanhood in puppet theatre, Santiago Moreno responds by developing variations around the figure of the one-man band and the idea of the body as a musical instrument — in line with the principles of figure theatre — from intimate shows to thunderous street concerts that he has brought to stages around the world. Alongside his research and personal creations, Santiago Moreno also performs with the international one-man-band trio OKtopus OrKestars, in collaboration with Martin Kaspar and Karl Stets.

Le Faux-Orchestre
A puppet concert for a musician and his double, fusing masks and music with a South American flavour, Le Faux-Orchestre is a show to be listened to with open eyes! A virtuosic one-man orchestra attempts an impossible encounter between the original and the copy.

Two musicians sit back to back: one is real, the other fake.
On a rotating stage offering a 180° view, the two alter egos attempt an impossible encounter. They chase, dodge, and tease each other before losing and merging into a circular dance. Le Faux-Orchestre plays between original and replica, reality and illusion — a fake milonga with real Russian spoons.

Through a network of strings and pulleys, the body of musician and puppeteer Santiago Moreno is connected to an instrument he carries on his back. Through this system, he performs a rhythmic score with incredible dexterity: guitarist on one side, percussionist on the other, in a musical and physical performance that is absolutely captivating.
