Captain Palacinca and the cunning Jock, wandering far and wide across the world, have gathered extraordinary exotic beasts and mastered incredible magical skills and circus techniques. Trained rodents, pyrotechnic acrobatics, illusionism, enchanted reptiles, Japanese arts, mentalism… These are just some of the acts packed into the suitcase of these two adventurers, who present a varied and utterly unpredictable variety show.

Chien Barbu Mal Rasè is a clown duo active since 2008, whose artistic research is rooted in improvisation, the tradition of charlatans, popular theatre, and theatrical clowning. Over the years, the company has staged street shows, theatre performances, improvised acts, roaming performances, walkabout characters, and variety shows with other companies and collectives. Each production begins from the belief that theatre should be popular and widely accessible, without losing its originality and surreal dimension — elements that allow imagination to become a tool for breaking apart the patterns to which we are, despite ourselves, accustomed. The search for this balance remains, to this day, the core of their work.
