La Piedra de Madera

Compagnia di circo "eia"

La Piedra de Madera is a shared space, where scenes follow one another and transform through the collaboration of everyone involved. A transgenerational experience that uses the circus languages of balance, trust and comedy to create encounters between people. Could it be that, in life, we must learn how to make stones dance? And perhaps realise that if we share the weight, even the biggest stones can become light?

Compañía de Circo “eia” (“yes” in Sardinian) was founded in 2009 through the collaboration of Armando Rabanera, Fabrizio Giannini, Cristiano Della Monica, Francesca Lissia and Celso Pereira. With 16 years of experience as a collective, four creations that have toured in more than 900 performances across 25 countries, Compañía de Circo “eia” stands as one of the leading companies in the Catalan, Spanish and European contemporary circus scene.

At the heart of its artistic vision is a human circus, capable of evoking metaphors that speak to the complexity of interpersonal relationships.
“In an age in which diversity is so often seen as a problem, we want our particularities to emerge in our shows and enrich the collective work, giving it the colour and variety that the world deserves.”
