MDR – Death for Laughter (Morire dal ridere) is a farce to disturb and entertain. Melon, Mardi and Rossinyol face an unexpected conflict. Their untamed and clumsy nature and the need to exist take them to an improbable show, where they freely explore any atrocity. This hilarious and terrifying experience transmits the story of a truthful and rough friendship, caused by a sense of responsibility and of guilt. An improbable crime, a suspicious trial and an absurd punishment. As a paradox, they might cause the desire to die from laughter.

Los Galindos was created in 1991. The project emerged from a synergy between continuous research and youthful energy in collective creation. Inspired by the poetry and fantastical imagery of the circus, the company has developed an artistic project with a distinctive signature. Over the years, it has been involved in educational and outreach projects and has expanded its activity internationally through 15 productions created by the company. It has received several awards, including the National Prize for Culture 2016 for its career.

For MDR, the company received the following awards: Talía Award 2023 for Best Circus Show, Ciutat de Barcelona Award 2022 for Performing Arts, Teatre Barcelona Award 2022 for Best Circus Show, Critics Award 2021 for Best Circus Show, Zirkolika Special Jury Award 2021, and the Audience Award at TAC de Valladolid 2021. With MDR, Los Galindos returns to the street format with a risky and committed circus show.
