Artisti in Piazza Festival pays tribute to maestro Gildo Montanari, a musician, a friend, and a precious presence who accompanied the Festival for many years with his energy, his passion, and his music.
Remembering him will be a number of musicians and friends who shared the stage with him: Pennabilli Social Club, Retro Cuban Marching Band, Lorenzo Valenti (Gildo e Lorenzo duo), Coro Canta che ti Passa, and other surprises.
Together they will give life to a special “Gildo Social Club” reunion: a moment of music, celebration, and togetherness dedicated to his memory.
Welcoming the audience, there will also be a permanent sign of his passage: artist JodyPinge has created a mural in his honour on the Festival entrance hut, a work that celebrates the deep bond between Gildo, music, and the Artisti in Piazza community.
A tribute made of notes, memories, and gratitude for a person who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to meet him. Because his music continues to live on in the people who played it, sang it, and shared it with him.
