Hôtel Crab tells the story of a hotel where nothing ever happens, until the arrival of a new guest. Unexpected events will break the monotony of this very unusual place. A theft committed at midnight will catch everyone by surprise and, from that moment on, the fate of every character will change. Hôtel Crab is a puppet show suitable for all audiences, adults and children alike, full of surprises, passions and misunderstandings. It is a wordless story in which the sequence of scenes and the characters’ mime guide the audience. The plot is built through a theatrical language very close to that of silent cinema.

Trukitrek is a theatre company that combines physical theatre with the fascinating world of puppetry. Founded on the island of Menorca in 1998, its members came from different artistic backgrounds, which enriched the company’s stage work from the very beginning. Over the course of its career, Trukitrek has gained international recognition, bringing its art to 40 countries around the world. The company stands out for its free-spirited style and has experimented with different techniques in the creation of its performances, from classic string puppets to direct manipulation puppets. Particularly noteworthy is the “humanette” style, in which the characters are half puppet and half human being.
