Go Green!
Driven by an ever-growing desire to raise awareness among the audience and the local community about the Festival’s sustainability, since the 23rd edition we have launched the GoGreen working group, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum of Pennabilli.
The goal is to monitor, initiate, discuss, and promote both collective and individual actions that are sustainable and increasingly respectful of the environment and the planet.
Help us win this challenge, step by step, year after year!
Energy
Since 2005, we have equipped the various stages with LED lighting to reduce energy consumption and emissions.
Our electricity provider uses an energy mix primarily from renewable sources.
We aim to make the most of natural sunlight during the different work and setup phases leading up to the Festival.
All performances take place outdoors, without the need for air conditioning systems.
Mobility
This is a very important point for us!
We encourage our audience to reach the Festival using public transport, and this year it will be even easier thanks to a pilot project by the Mobility Agency of the Province of Rimini, which will increase the number of buses to Pennabilli.

Since 2019, we have been promoting car sharing to reduce transport-related emissions and encourage social interaction — first with a board for posting notes, and now also via a Telegram chat.
Coming by bike?
To reward your green spirit, your camping spot is free and you will also receive a cold beer upon arrival.
We aim to reduce emissions from our artists’ shuttle service: starting this year, thanks to the support of Gruppo Di.Ba and Hyundai, we will have two electric cars and one van, helping us significantly lower our emissions!
We also avoid using cars or scooters by equipping our staff with pedal-assisted bicycles, thanks to our partnership with Bike Park Rimini!
Waste
Each year, we enhance the street recycling stations specially set up for the Festival in collaboration with the local utilities company. In 2024, we built 40 new wooden recycling bins, increasing capacity by 16,000 liters — the equivalent of 3,000 kg of waste — with an eye to the future: these bins are designed to be reused for many years, reducing construction waste and costs.
Since 2022, we have provided campers with waste sorting kits to encourage proper recycling.
If you have any doubts about how to sort your waste, feel free to ask our Eco volunteers.
We have always promoted a plant-based menu at the Staff canteen.
Festival bars do not sell bottled water — we have saved around 90,000 plastic bottles from going to waste! If you bring a refillable bottle or your own cup, you can refill it at any Festival bar.
We are also investing in a new pilot project: a compost toilet in collaboration with RUGOLO. Liquid and solid waste from Festival campers will be collected using compost toilets, helping us close the sustainability loop.
