The Festival
Every year, the town of Pennabilli becomes the capital of art and entertainment for audiences from 0 to 100 years old: 50 international companies, 350 repetitions of shows in 4 days, concerts and performances from all over the world. Numerous artistic disciplines performed in the streets, squares, alleys and gardens of the historic center: music performances, theater performances, new circus, walking act, clowning, juggling…
Part of the program is dedicated to children, who are also given the space of the Orto dei Frutti Dimenticati (creation of maestro Tonino Guerra) within which they can move freely and attend performances or participate in workshops dedicated to them.
But that’s not all: the Festival also hosts the traditional Mercatino del solito e dell’insolito (Market of the usual and the unusual), a market of artistic handicrafts, the result of a careful selection that has matured over the years, and the area of the Cucine Erranti (Wandering Kitchens), which gathers food stands and local restaurateurs offering traditional and ethnic cuisine, snacks, fresh fruit and delicacies.
In addition, during Artisti in Piazza – Pennabilli Festival, the usual programming will be flanked by in-depth broadcasts on Cosmic Fringe Radio, the nonprofit webradio created by the Ultimo Punto Cultural Association, which aims to promote fringe music and culture.
The broadcasts are hosted by artists and special guests, with live highlights from each edition, interviews with participants and more. A chance to further spread the festival vibes and comment together on the performances of the various editions!

OTHER INFO
- The festival will also take place in bad weather. In such a case, the organization will move as many shows as possible in the marquees of the “Palacirco” area and in the indoor areas located in the town.
- The festival’s paper programme is free and distributed at the entrances and info-points. At the ticket desks and at the “gadgets” shop of the central square you can find gadgets, T-shirts, information booklets, CDs with festival music, etc…
- There are parking areas, one for tents and one for campers.
During the event there will be a camping site for tents and temporary camper parking. This is not a year-round regular service and no reservations can be made. The area is located at the “Parco Begni”, near the entrances of the event (area: “on grass”). In the area will be installed bathrooms, camping showers and running water, without possibility of drainage. - Traffic police, Civil Protection and car parkers will drive the vehicles in the area and will register guests upon arrival.
